AI / ML

Add ML & Agentic AI to your fraud detection, AML & financial crime operations

Machine learning scores risk in context for real-time fraud detection and transaction monitoring, and AI agents investigate alerts, document cases, and prepare STR and SAR filings for human approval. You set how much autonomy the agents have — run them on Clari5, or on the fraud and AML systems you already have.

Machine learning

Machine learning scores activity in context.

Rules act on conditions defined in advance. They work for known risks, and they cannot describe every pattern. Machine learning compares activity with each customer's normal behavior, which helps identify deviations and anomalies that no rule describes. Clari5 uses both, as a hybrid AI approach: rules for known risks and machine learning for deviations. AI agents then reduce the manual work of reviewing and reporting on cases.

Clari5 Enterprise Fraud Risk Management (EFRM) scores activity within the transaction window for real-time fraud detection. In AML, customer risk scoring is recalculated as events occur, not at the next periodic review, and every alert shows the factors behind it.

Each decision

Each decision draws on five kinds of context.

  • Customer
  • Device
  • Behavior
  • Channel
  • Network

AI agents

Agents that investigate, document, and file.

An AI assistant summarizes an alert. An AI agent investigates it, and the human investigator makes the call. Clari5's AI fraud investigation agents take a fraud or AML investigation from the first alert to the regulator's report. You decide which alerts they handle and how confident they must be before they act.

The agent takes an alert through your procedure: analyze transactions, trace linked accounts, review behavioral history, reach a documented conclusion, then escalate or close. High-risk cases escalate. Routine cases can be closed with the report attached, within the confidence threshold you set. You can also ask the agent questions in plain English.

What this means for you

  • Up to 70% less case analysis time
  • Up to 3x investigator productivity

The agent writes an alert narrative the moment an alert fires, then assembles the full investigation report from case evidence, in your own template. Report quality no longer depends on which analyst worked the case.

What this means for you

  • 60% less alert documentation time
  • 5 minutes per report

The agent turns a complaint or case into a filing-ready suspicious transaction report (STR) or suspicious activity report (SAR) for analyst approval. Native filing, including goAML-standard output, supports 70+ Financial Intelligence Units (FIUs), in batch, single-case, or Excel bulk-upload modes.

What this means for you

  • 30 to 40 minutes per case

Agents support alert triage, investigation, reporting, and rule tuning. No-code transaction monitoring scenarios are backtested on historical data before any rule goes live, and they can start from a regulatory circular. AML and fraud (FRAML) run on one platform with one customer view, one risk score, one case manager, and one audit trail.

What this means for you

  • 30% lower AML operations cost
  • 40 to 60% fewer false positives
  • 80% less analyst review time

Bring your own stack

Works with the systems you already run.

The agents run on Clari5 EFRM and AML Suite, and on your existing fraud and AML systems. Your teams keep their current systems and add AI investigation, documentation, and filing on top. Autonomy settings, human approval, and the audit trail work the same way in either case.

Clari5 EFRM & AML Suite

Run AI investigation, documentation, and filing natively on Clari5's own fraud and AML platform.

Your existing fraud & AML systems

Add AI investigation, documentation, and filing on top of the systems your teams already use — no replacement required.

Voice analytics

A GenAI-accelerated post-call forensics and audit platform, built on an 8-stage AI pipeline. It analyzes 100% of your analyst-to-customer call recordings and surfaces fraud signals, compliance evidence, and conversation intelligence directly in your existing case management workflow.

Law enforcement request automation

Handles the whole lifecycle of a law enforcement request in six stages: ingest and acknowledge, classify, extract entities, retrieve data, generate the response, and audit and archive. Every request is acknowledged automatically within 20 minutes, and every action is written to an immutable audit trail. Runs on premise.

Onboarding decisions

The Clari5 Intelligence Onboarding Platform correlates seven categories of intelligence into one real-time KYC and onboarding risk decision, instead of several isolated checks: telecom, biometric, document forensics, financial analytics, device and behavioral, identity and statutory, and ecosystem intelligence.

Governance

You set the limits.

  • How much autonomy do the agents have?

You configure the procedures, thresholds, and level of autonomy. Your people keep final control.

  • Can we explain an AI decision?

Every output traces back to source data, with full query transparency. In AML Suite, AI models are explainable and every alert shows the factors behind it.

  • Can we govern it?

Human-in-the-loop review is built in for AI governance, and every action is audited. In AML Suite, models are monitored for drift and bias and sit behind maker-checker controls with an immutable audit trail. Access is role-based, with guardrails on inputs and outputs.

  • Where does our data go?

Deployment is on premise, air-gapped if required, or inside your own cloud tenancy, designed to keep data inside your boundary, including for data residency needs.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions.

Agentic AI uses software agents that carry out the steps of an investigation, from the first alert to the regulator's report, following procedures you set. People approve every filing, and the investigator remains accountable for the decision.

An assistant summarizes an alert. An agent works the case: it analyzes transactions, traces linked accounts, reviews behavioral history, and reaches a documented conclusion. The human investigator makes the call.

A rules engine acts on conditions defined in advance. Machine learning also compares activity with each customer's normal behavior, which helps identify patterns that no rule describes. Yes. The agents can be deployed on Clari5 EFRM and AML Suite, and on fraud and anti-money laundering systems from other vendors. You keep your current systems and add AI investigation, documentation, and filing on top of them.

Yes. You decide which alerts the agents handle and how confident they must be before they act. Human review and a full audit trail are built in, and the investigator remains accountable for the decision.

Scoring each alert against the customer's risk, history, and context helps separate unusual activity from activity that only looks unusual. Prioritization then directs analysts to the highest-risk alerts first. In AML Suite, this delivers 40 to 60% fewer false positives.

Models are explainable and monitored for drift and bias. They sit behind maker-checker controls, with an immutable audit trail, and every alert shows the factors behind it.

Regulatory filing is native to the platform. It generates goAML-standard output that can be reused across multi-country deployments and supports 70+ Financial Intelligence Units (FIUs), with native submission formats for national regimes.

Banks and their risk and compliance leaders (CROs, CCOs, and MLROs) can expect faster investigations, more capacity from the same team, and stronger regulatory defensibility. Clari5 reports that AI-assisted investigation can cut investigation time by up to 70% and raise investigator productivity by up to 3x. Agents prepare the case, so analysts spend their time on decisions, and every step is recorded in an audit trail. Results depend on your alert volumes, data quality, and case complexity, so we recommend baselining cycle time, cost per case, alert backlog, and filing timeliness before go-live to measure ROI. Every decision stays with the investigator.
